Eighth Day of Christmas
O God,
The birth of Jesus reminds us that you do surprising
things as you work your great purposes out.
Let our celebration of his birth remind us
that you are still working your purposes out,
and that you still do so in surprising ways.
Give us strong faith that includes
a healthy sense of wonder and mystery.
Help us be alert to what you are doing, rather
than blinded by what we expect you to do.
Amen.
