Eighth Day of Lent
O God,
Help us to stop
doing things we shouldn’t be doing,
talking ways we shouldn’t be talking,
thinking ways we shouldn’t be thinking,
feeling ways we shouldn’t be feeling, and
being motivated by things by
which we shouldn’t be motivated.
Help us to repent in ways that
go deep beneath the surface.
Help us to repent in ways that go all
the way down to who we really are.
Amen.
