Sixth Sunday in Lent/Palm Sunday
O God,
As we praise Jesus as our King today,
help us to praise him as
the King that he really is and not as
the King that we want him to be.
Help us to praise Jesus as the King
whose procession was marked by humility,
whose agenda was marked by service,
whose sacrifice was marked by intentionality, and
whose life was marked by love.
As his followers spread palm branches before him,
help us to spread our lives before him,
lives that are marked by his kind of
humility, service, intentionality, and love.
Amen.
