The Lord’s Day

O God,

We praise you today
because Jesus Christ was
raised from the dead.

We praise you today
because you are God
not of the dead but
of the living.

We praise you today
because in Christ we
will be raised to new life.

We praise you today
because in Christ we
have been raised to walk
in newness of life.

We praise you today
because those who
believe in you
will never die.

We praise you today
because you deliver us from
those events that threaten
to take the life out of us.

We praise you today
because Jesus Christ
is risen.
