Sixth Day of Christmas
We praise you, O God, that in your wisdom you caused your Son to be born to, to grow up in, and to relate to a family.
We praise you that by so doing you not only made clear the flesh and blood, nitty gritty, day to day experience of Jesus, but also underscored the importance of ours.
Thank you for that vital aspect of our humanity that involves relating to the people in our families; help us in Christ to give ourselves fully to each other and to submit our families to your will and leadership.
Amen.
